About me
Abigail is a yoga teacher, educator, and adaptive yoga specialist whose work was shaped by her recovery from a cerebellar stroke in 2012. After relearning how to walk, she became deeply interested in what helps people rebuild strength, resilience, and self-trust in their bodies. Her teaching is rooted in biomechanics, functional anatomy, and nervous system regulation, with a focus on making yoga practical and accessible.
With over 1,500 hours of continuing education and a double 500-hour E-RYT through Yoga Alliance, Abigail’s extensive training informs how she teaches yoga for people living with disabilities, chronic illness, and injuries. She has trained in biomechanics with Katy Bowman (Nutritious Movement), adaptive yoga with Matthew Sanford (Mind Body Solutions), neurology for yoga with Adell Bridges, and advanced anatomy labs through the Institute for Anatomical Research.
Beyond traditional studios, Abigail brings yoga and sound healing into hospital and rehab spaces. She supports individuals healing after stroke, concussion/TBI, and physical trauma. She currently serves as the Yoga Program Director for Wasatch Adaptive Sports and is a member of IMC Hospitals’ Rehabilitation Advocates Mindset Mentorship Program (RAMMP), where she shares hope and practical tools for living well.
Abigail’s mission is to equip yoga teachers with practical adaptive tools so they can confidently serve more than the conventional yoga population. She supports teachers who feel called to work with people navigating physical changes by sharing clear frameworks, inclusive cueing, and adaptable options. Her ultimate goal is simple: make yoga accessible, realistic, respectful, and empowering for every body.
