About me
Mariel Serrano is a trauma-informed yoga teacher, sound healer, and community wellness practitioner based in Northern Illinois. Her work explores the intersection of applied psychology, somatic practice, and sound-based healing to support nervous system regulation, emotional processing, and deep restoration.
She integrates crystal singing bowls, breathwork, and guided meditation to create accessible, therapeutically informed experiences. Her work extends into community-centered settings, including outreach as a museum professional, as well as local park districts, private studios, and wellness initiatives supporting individuals navigating stress, illness, and life transitions.
Mariel is currently studying Applied Psychology at Loyola University Chicago and completing training with the Prison Yoga Project, grounding her work in trauma awareness, inclusivity, and evidence-informed care.
